Ralf was born in 1967 in Hamburg, Germany. He studied architectuce and worked several years as a head of construction. Lured by the challenge of visual arts and journalism, Ralf started with photography and reporting about his travel experience. In 2003 he became a full-time freelance photographer and journalist, specialised in sports, documentary, travel, event. In 2012 he joined the multimedia FREELENS workshop in Hamburg and started with visual storytelling. His innovative photos, videos and written stories were published by international media houses and magazines. Ralf’s work has appeared in such publications as Stern, Neue Zuercher Zeitung NZZ Online, taz.de, Guardian, Daily Express, Press Association, Bild.de, Cordon Press, Viajar, Smithsonian Digital, Corbis Services Ltd., Kurier.at, Belga News Agency, L`Endavant, Bieler Tagblatt, All Over Press Norway, FÜR SIE, Dresdner Morgenpost, Today.it, Cambridge University Press, Europske Noviny, Bergsteiger Magazin, Agenzia Fotogiornalistica Contrasto, Daily Mail, Die Rheinpfalz, Badisches Tagblatt. Shortlisted for PR-Bild Award 2015 in the category tourism, sports, travel. Awarded for Slideshare Wanderlust photo contest 2016 – winner and commended. Fellow oft he German photo agency Imagetrust and working on assignment for Evangelischer Pressedienst (EPD). In 2016 non-profit documentary of the NGO German Doctors in the Philippines. Ralf is living in Hamburg, Germany.
