This video was taken on August 18 2016 following the bombing of the "Al Qatrgi" neighborhood in Aleppo by the Syrian Government. The shelling killed and wounded many of the residents of the neighborhood. In the aftermath of the bombing rescue workers dug out three children from the rubble, one of which was Omran Daqneesh, dubbed the "The Boy in the Rubble" after images of him taken from this video circulated online.

Video shot on a GoPro camera by a freelance photographer accompanying the Italian Navy on a rescue mission where 60 Italian Navymen rescues 998 immigrants from boats in the Mediterranean Sea just 30 km off the coast of Libya.
The men, women and children rescued from the smugglers' boat were from Syria, Eritrea, Mali, Palestine and Afghanistan.

Twenty people were killed, mostly tourists, and many more wounded when gunmen attacked the popular Bardo museum in Tunis. Tunisian security services deployed around the museum's buildings prior to entering them, allegedly trading fire with militants inside before killing two of them and rescuing hostages. Other gunmen are believed to be at large.

Tunis, Tunisia, 18 March 2015. Twenty people were killed, mostly tourists, and many more wounded when gunmen attacked the popular Bardo museum in Tunis. They took others hostage, some of whom were evacuated as members of the security services deployed around the museum's buildings prior to entering them. Security forces allegedly traded fire with the militants inside before killing two of the unknown number of gunmen. Others are still thought to be at large, and one officer is reported to have died.

Indonesia AirAsia Flight 8501 (QZ8501/AWQ8501) was a scheduled international passenger flight, operated by AirAsia Group affiliate Indonesia AirAsia, from Surabaya, Indonesia, to Singapore. On 28 December 2014, the aircraft operating the route, an Airbus A320-216, crashed into the Java Sea during bad weather, killing all 155 passengers and seven crew on board. Two days after the crash, debris from the aircraft and human remains were found floating in the Java Sea. Searchers located wreckage on the sea floor beginning on 3 January, and the flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder were recovered by 13 January. The search for bodies ended in March 2015 after recovery of 106 of the 162 bodies.

On March 18th 2015, after almost 3 months of search and rescue activity, an Indonesia SAR officer announces the closing of the operation, with total 97 victim found and identified. The rest of the victims remain lost at sea and it is impossible to find them as their bodies decompose and become very hard to find. The families of the victims threw flowers into the sea as their condolences to their loved ones.
