Thousands of protesters marched through the center of Madrid (Spain) during the Global Climate March on Sunday. The protest aimed to draw attention to climate change and force world leaders to implement serious actions against climate change on the '2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference' (COP21) in Paris.
In Spain, the protests were organized by Alliance for the Climate, a coalition of more than 400 organizations including Greenpeace. The coalition organized several climate change marches in different Spanish cities. Apart from Madrid, there were protests in Barcelona, Valencia, Bilbao, Zaragoza, Valladolid, A Coruña, Pamplona, Murcia etc.
Worldwild there were more than 2000 Climate Marches on 29 November.

Newroz is celebrated by millions of Kurds and Iranians in the Middle East by, wearing colorful clothing and jumping over fires to welcome the spring holiday. Originally a Zoroastrian festival, Newroz is now embraced by the Kurds to celebrate cultural unity and political goals. The celebrations are occasionally marked by violence as the celebration only recently became legal in Turkey.

Barcelona, Spain. Municipal workers from Barcelona Municipal Services (BSM) called a 24 hour strike today, Monday, October 1, 2012, with over 400 workers demonstrating in the streets of Barcelona in protest against budget cuts, including Christmas bonuses, being implemented in accordance with a decree approved by the Spanish government. The workers want to negotiate a solution with Municipal Services that would allow them to recover an economic loss that represents a 14% cut in their wages.

Protestan contra el recorte de la paga de Navidad que se les quiere aplicar en cumplimiento del decreto-ley aprobado por el Gobierno español. Quieren negociar con la empresa vías de solución que les permita recuperar la pérdida económica que ya les supone un recorte superior al 14% de sus salarios.
