Refugees from the Iraqi city of Mosul seek refuge in Iraqi-Kurdistan after the city was attacked by Islamic militants from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

ISIL took control of the of Mosul on June 9, 2014, displacing hundreds of thousands of the city's residents. The UN estimates that half a million people have been displaced.
